As images from the James Webb telescope beam across the world, Times Square has decided to broadcast NASA’s images to the residents of NYC. The James Webb telescope is the most powerful ever launched into space. President Joe Biden stated, during the first public viewing held at the White House, “It’s hard to even fathom… It’s astounding. It’s an historic moment for science and technology, for America and all of humanity.”
The world got its first look at the full capabilities of the James Webb telescope at a live event streamed from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, on July 12, 2022.
