Thor: Love and Thunder focuses on Thor’s personal development, as well as his heroic adventures. This is reflected in the wide variety of his costumes, from leather jackets to meditative robes. “The costumes are crazy,” Chris Hemsworth admitted. “I have more costume changes in this than I think I’ve had in the last six films combined.”

The armor set also demonstrates Thor’s bonds with other characters. Where Mighty Thor’s (Natalie Portman) armor design mirrors his own, emphasising the close connection between them, he couldn’t look more distinct from the film’s ominous, grey-skinned antagonist, Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale).
