For 40 days, @thinfrog posted videos showing frog spawn being gathered from various waterways and placed in his backyard pond to create a ‘frog army’, which soon took over his and his neighbours’ gardens. Four million views followed, some revelling in the squelchy horror, others outraged by his ego tripping, plague fantasies and environmental irresponsibility. However others noted that the footage had been sourced from a variety of existing docos and news stories: a hoax of biblical proportions.
