This video features in a responsive display in the museum that presents the moments, stories and memes capturing the zeitgeist by going viral on the internet.

This viral TikTok video is a crash course on solarpunk. Clocking over 2M views, 453.9K likes and 1,996 comments, it explains the hopeful, rebellious aesthetic that blends futuristic tech with eco-friendly values. The “punk” fights capitalism and consumerism, while “solar” is both renewable energy and a metaphorical light in cyberpunk’s dystopian shadow. By demonstrating the sub-genre through clips from Studio Ghibli, the game Solarpunk, and Chobani’s ‘Dear Alice’ ad, it stands out as an explainer video, a growing trend of low-cost, high-impact videos that show how small screens spread big ideas.
