Game worlds are engineered as much as they’re imagined. Designers sketch ideas into concept art, then shape characters, terrain, architecture and atmosphere using code, geometry and visual trickery. From wireframes and physics systems to ‘skyboxes’ and shaders, every detail is crafted to feel alive. As tools evolve – from 2D grids to immersive 3D engines – so do the ways worlds are built, explored and experienced. Design and technology work together to create environments that move, respond and tell stories through play.
