Magazine items: A survey of the work done to combat plagues in Africa. Shows workers carrying out research in institutions set up to investigate ways and means of destroying the menace; field research; methods of control and destruction at present being practised on the land. The second part of the film deals with Africa’s timber industry, showing the felling of trees; transporting of logs to sawmills; and the uses of timber in homes and industry.
