This detailed account of “the war to end all wars” comprises actual footage shot on the battlefields of Europe and the Middle East. Commencing with troops leaving Australia, it documents the major battles campaigns of Australian and New Zealand troops including those in Egypt, the Somme and Cambrai in which 60,000 Australians died. Shows rare footage from the only roll of film taken at Gallipoli and includes footage from the work of Hubert Wilkins and Frank Hurley acquired from the archives of the Australian War Memorial.
