Magazine items: The giant telescope at Parkes, N.S.W. is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. It is occupied with a fulltime research programme into radio astronomy. At Collaroy, Sydney, the Salvation Army has organized a unique Music Camp for children,from eight to fifteen years. University College of Townsville is the first in the state of Queensland outside Brisbane.
