Provides an outline of the Australian wheat industry, a brief history and general view of growing, harvesting, bulk handling and processing, research and marketing. Shows the industry from the historical beginnings at Experiment Farm and the growing colony of New South Wales, to mechanical innovation, nationwide research and modern transport and handling. Explains the farmer’s work through each season and traces the marketing of the grain from the country silo to the consumers overseas.
