An account of the banana growing industry in northern New South Wales, showing all stages in the growing of bananas; areas of Queensland and New South Wales most suited to banana growing; tree felling and clearing the land; preparation of the ground; planting; pest and disease control; development of the fruit on the plant; picking, grading, packing and transporting the fruit to all states; finally ripening the fruit prior to sale at local markets.
