This is a representative collection of short films made between 1896 and 1903, comprising: ‘A Train entering a station’ (from the first Lumiere program); ‘The Derby - on the road to Epsom’, R.W. Paul’s film of the 1896 Derby; ‘The Brighton fire’; ‘Panorama of Calcutta’; ‘The Vanishing lady’; ‘Pienture a L’envers’; ‘The Music eccentric’; ‘A Chess dispute’; and ‘The Miller and the sweep’.
