Episode number 2 of Series “Merry-go-round”.
Birth describes the steps in child delivery and the special characteristics of the new born. Simple drawings and other references to the animal world explain the general birth process, while animated illustrations showing the movement of the human embryo provide details on labour and anatomy. One sequence allows the viewer to witness the actual moment of a baby’s birth and the steps that follow. Commentary by Richard Carpenter, Melissa Docker. Animation by Barry Merritt. Suitable for upper primary and secondary levels.
