Shows the development of the dried fruits industry at Mildura from the time of Deakin’s irrigation bill, and highlights the part irrigation has played. Includes a dramatised extract of an Alfred Deakin speech. The film shows climatic setbacks which the industry has experienced. Illustrates the harvesting, processing and distribution of the fruit.
