We follow the efforts of a young Sarawak villager as he learns to participate in broadcasting, telephony, aviation and other modern occupations required in Malaysia (1967). Six million people living on countless islands and one large peninsula are now united in the Federation of Malaysia and the agencies of the United Nations are at work helping them build a modern and effective country.
