A revealing look at Canada’s heartland. Traditional occupations of wheat farming, cattle raising and lumbering are shown with new occupations created by technology. Harnessing of rivers has brought irrigation and electric power for manufacturing. New industries plus discovery of oil, uranium and other minerals are changing life in the Prairie Provinces.
