Made before the Federation of the islands of the West Indies, this film shows the people, customs, export products, social problems, and scenery of the British West Indies, British Guiana, and British Honduras. Interwoven with a musical background of calypso music ritual drumming, ancient folk songs and traditional dance rhythms. (Awards: 1st prize Venice Film Festival 1951)
