With colour sequences. A study of artistic activities of first grade children in a Tokyo primary school. Through the year they experiment with pencil, crayon, finger painting, oil and clay, showing development of individual observation. Shows how school and home experiences influence choice and treatment of subjects, and how feelings are communicated in creative effort.
