A tour of six Chinese cities in 1968 by a group of Australian and New Zealand students. Scenes of ordinary life and industry, and interviews with officials, students, Red Guards, foreign residents and others discussing the Cultural Revolution then in progress and the general situation, displaying the contrasting values of the visitors and their hosts. Narrated by Richard Oxenburgh.
