Episode number 12 of Series “War in the Air”.
Part 12 of a 15-part series telling the story of air power and its impact on the world specially compiled by the BBC in 1954-55, 90% of which comes from actual combat material. The remainder consists of extracts from war documentary films and sequences constructed and shot by BBC Production Unit with the co-operation and advice of the services. This part centres on the Winter and Spring of 1944-45 when the ring around Germany begins to tighten.
