Through the eyes of a 15-year-old Congo schoolboy, reveals the current (1963) situation in the Congo. The tragic circumstances which since 1960 have led to a decline in the standards of living of millions of people - the story of the patient painstaking efforts of the Congo people to build a modern and flourishing state are vividly portrayed, and the UN efforts to help.
