A record of the successful Everest expedition in 1953. Beginning with a brief account of earlier expeditions, this film shows the months of preparation, the arrival of the expedition party in Nepal, the hiring of the sherpas in Katmandu, the progress from one camp to another and the final assault by Hillary and Tenzing. Suitable for upper secondary level.
