Episode number 1 of Series “Arid Landforms”.
The film provides a geological background to residuals in an arid landscape. It shows the influence of jointing and physical and chemical weathering on rocks. Particularly stressed are spheroidal weathering, freeze-thaw, coalescing alluvial fans and the influence of vegetation on rocks.
