This 1961 film illustrates safe methods for handling and storage of rolled steel joists, angles and plates in steel yards. Accompanied by an instructional narration, the film opens with a dramatised scene of an injured man caught beneath a steel beam due to the carelessness of a workmate. It shows footage of correct methods of stacking and storing steel beams, angles and plates, as well as demonstrating correct use of lifting equipment.

Produced by Fortune Film Productions and the New South Wales Department of Labour and Industry.

There are several jumps in the soundtrack throughout the film due to missing frames.
