Episode of Series “BBC Monitor”.
A musical encounter uniting European and Indian music in a session of improvisation. Famous English guitarist Julian Bream is accompanied by Alla Rakha playing the Tabla and Ali Akbar Khan, a virtuoso of the Indian sarod - a four stringed instrument similar to the lute. Note: ‘East West Encounter’ appears at the end of the film.
