A class-room film explaining the nature of stars and constellations and demonstrating the operation of an observatory telescope. Uses animation to identify the characters and shapes associated with constellations, explaining why they appear to be changing positions in the sky. Points out that the distances between stars and planets is not expressed in miles but light years.
