Films designed for school orientated learning have brought a new impact and excitement to learning previously unavailable in the classroom. In this investigation, the actual production of such a film is followed from beginning to finished product. It goes from covering the idea, script, costing, cameraman, director, crew, actors, titles, lettering, animation, editing, narration and music.

Our collection comprises over 40,000 moving image works, acquired and catalogued between the 1940s and early 2000s. As a result, some items may reflect outdated, offensive and possibly harmful views and opinions. ACMI is working to identify and redress such usages.
