Fish plays a large part in the diet of the Japanese people, providing them with much needed protein. It is eaten in various forms, some of which are a delight to the eye as well as the palate. Japan has one of the world’s largest and most efficient fishing industries, all types of fishing operations, coastal and deep-sea, canning and freezing operations are shown.
