Shows the great difficulties and final success of climbing the South East buttress of Mount Fitzroy in South America in 1968. The early part of the film discusses Captain Robert Fitzroy, who explored the coast of Argentina, and his naturalist Charles Darwin who did extensive work in Patagonia.
