A factual film of a unique Australian service: “By aeroplane and radio the Flying Doctor Service and the Commonwealth Air Ambulance Service bring medical aid to the thinly populated areas of Australia’s vast inland. At Broken Hill base, where this film as photographed, Dr John Wood cares for patients in an area of over 500,000 square miles”. Photography by Lionel Trainor.
