The contrast between modern ways of living and the old tribal traditions. How many of the natives leave the protectorates for short period to earn money in South African mines. Explains and discusses the political setup; how the High Commissioner worked with the help of Residential Commissioners and native Advisory Councils. Brief history of South African relations with the protectorates.
