Stresses the need for blood for transfusions every hour as part of medical service today; the procedure of voluntary donation, facilities provided and the careful labelling, testing and typing carried out by the Red Cross staff; the method of refrigerated storage and transport; use of separated components; an operation in process with the assistance of blood transfusions.
