This short film, produced by the Victorian Department of Agriculture, promotes the dairy industry by proclaiming the benefits of drinking milk.
The film opens with some lovely footage of a couple exploring the Blue Dandenongs, including a milkbar with signs for ‘Peter’s Ice-Cream’, ‘Herald’, and ‘Four ‘n’ Twenty Pies’, where they order two tall glasses of milk.
The film then shows scenes of schoolchildren, a patient and nurse in a hospital and a domestic kitchen, while the narrator describes the health benefits of milk. The film finishes with footage of the dairy industry, from the farm to industrial pasteurising and bottling processes, and finally home delivery.
