Based upon the experience of Montefiore Hospital, New York, this film depicts home care programs as an effective approach toward the treatment of patients with chronic disease, and shows such are of patients with cancer, heart disease, asthma, arthritis and other conditions. Discusses factors considered in the selection of patients for home care and the role of the doctor, nurse and social worker in the treatment.
