A dramatised introduction to the work of the Bureau of Meteorology, showing how weather information is collected and used for reports and predictions, with impressions of the importance of the weather in various industries. Shows how at the Southern Hemisphere Analysis Centre in Melbourne, synoptic charts are drawn up by computers. A global weather pattern can be seen every six hours. Cast features Carmen Duncan and Tom Oliver.
