Episode of Series “Care of the sick and injured”.
Demonstrates how to perform medical aseptic techniques when caring for a patient with a communicable disease. Shows how to set up an isolation unit; how to organise the work; when and when not to wear the isolation gown and mask; how and when to wash the hands; how to remove and clean items used in the unit. Concludes with a short summary of basic principles to be observed when caring for a patient in isolation.
