A kaleidoscopic tour of Israel where the past, present and future lie open side by side: Acre, where Jew and Arab work peacefully side by side; the modern city of Haifa with its harbour, industries and big blocks of flats; the Catacombs, Hebrew University; Jerusalem with its churches from many countries and a Yemenite wedding rehearsal. Narrated by Christopher Plummer.
