Records a trip to Antarctica with a typical Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition. Phillip Law tells of the work done by the 70 men who man the four Australian stations. Shows the erection of an automatic weather station; reconnaisance; the daily routine of the scientists at the stations; and follows a surveying exploratory party using tractor trains and supported by aircraft.
