A brief survey of the cotton industry in America together with illustrations of the various uses to which cotton is put in manufacture of automobiles. Compares the first cotton gin invented by Whitney with the modern machine. Shows modern methods of cotton production including the use of machinery on the cotton fields and dusting of crops from the air. Shows use of cotton for tyres, seat padding and the making of plastic fittings and cellulose.
