The people of the plains of the Brahmaputra, an ancient river highway, with a tragic history of floods. The valley people; religion, agriculture, silk spinning; family life, the marriage rites; the market place; the capital of an ancient kingdom; the plantations; the growth of secondary industries; the elephants of Assam.
