Episode of Series “Life in Australia”.
Aspects of life in Launceston. Industries include Paton and Baldwins woollen mills, Repco ball bearing factory, timber mills and furniture manufacturers. Shows schools, the general hospital, churches, and the historic home of Entally built in 1820. Motor racing at Longford, bicycyle racing, water skiing and archery are popular forms of recreation. Theatres, restaurants and night clubs, provide a variety of evening entertainment.
