Shows modern improvements being made in Japanese libraries to stimulate interest in reading and to encourage appreciation of art, music and literature. Special aspects of the work of these libraries include film programs, radio listening, children’s Saturday afternoon film programs, music rooms and collections of recorded music, art exhibitions, puppet plays, bookmobile services in country districts and many other activities.
