A dramatised account of the training and duties of a hospital nurse in England. The film takes particular psychological problems of a young widow who, after her husband’s death in a car crash, finds emotional and vocational satisfaction in nursing. The film deals mainly with her reactions to the demands of her work and emphasises the social service nature of her profession.
