Shows the characteristics of a primitive society, and the interventions and discoveries made by man in prehistoric times. Clarifies the meaning of ‘primitive’ by showing the pattern of life in uncivilized regions of Africa. Shows activities such as weaving and pottery-making embodying thought and skill without technology.
