Using animation and time-lapse photography this film demonstrates how the geophysicist, using modern instruments, aeroplanes and rockets, studies, measures and maps the earth’s magnetic fields and observes the effects of sun spots and the associated auroras. Includes excellent footage of magnetic storms.
