Analysis (from a 1970’s point of view) of the future directions of American mass media, Industry people argue for specialised anchors, print journalism, vertical programming and electronic imaging - to name but a few - as the direction for the future. However, such directions are not always considered favourable. Also looks at the role of politics, youth and community in media.
