On May 24, 1964, the new waterway on the river Moselle, an important step towards European economic unity, was inaugurated. It connects the iron ore deposits of the Lorraine and the Saar, and the Ruhr Valley with the Belgian-Dutch coalmines. Shows the picturesque landscape of the Moselle area.
