Portrays living conditions in Western Sicily - of poverty and ignorance and unemployment in some villages and the attempts made by social workers in another village to improve conditions. The question is asked, “Must unemployment be allowed to force them into crime?” If we see these things and do nothing about them, we are guilty of murder by neglect.
