Migrant assimilation in New Zealand. Shows the arrival of 800 displaced persons from Europe (post WWII) and subsequent activities at the reception centre at Pahiatua. Illustrates how New Zealand provides for the establishment and welfare of migrants and how these new arrivals are accustoming themselves to New Zealand conditions and way of life.
