The history of the International Labor Organization since World War I. Illustrates two main aspects of its work: the improvement of labor conditions (exemplified by the Maritime labor conventions) and the improvement of living standards. Points out that poverty anwhere is a threat to prosperity everywhere. Shows activities in Libya, where the ILO has helped train workers for new UN assisted industries. Narrated by James McKechnie.
