A review, consisting of many interviews with doctors of the British National Health Service ten years after it was started. Country and city general practitioners, specialists, public health doctors and hospital personnel discuss the failures and successes of the scheme, the emergence of partnerhsips, group practices and health centres, the shortage of dentists, and the growing gap between specialists and general practitioners, hospital deficiencies and the difficulties of the coutry practitioner with a small scattered population.
